The IFPE / Conexpo trade fair in Las Vegas has ended. Every three years experts from the construction industry, hydraulics and drive technology meet there to exchange the latest innovations, talk shop and make contacts.

First of all: The corona virus did not stop at the Las Vegas fair either. The IFPE / Conexpo took place in early March. Rudi Eckart, Managing Director of Eckart Hydraulik, says: “Basically, the fair was well attended, there was a lot going on.” However, with each day of the fair, the virus pushed more onto the world stage. Finally, the organizers decided to cancel the last day of the IFPE / Conexpo fair. Rudi Eckart: “That was reasonable. The events overturned within a very short time."

The Wallrother company Eckart has been at the fair for more than 20 years. The IFPE and Conexpo have always been combined in the Las Vegas Convention Center in the USA. Conexpo is America's largest construction industry fair, the IFPE ("International Fluid Power Exposition") the largest exhibition for hydraulics and drive technology in the USA. The fair takes place every three years.

Rudi Eckart says: “For us, the fair is a successful model. We get to talk to other companies there, make new contacts and revive old ones.” Eckart had flown to Las Vegas. In the luggage for the trade fair, of course, he had the rotary actuator - the company's main product - as well as some cut models and other components. The Eckart company shared a booth with its USA representative IC Fluid Power from Ohio. A total of more than 500 exhibitors were at IFPE / Conexpo, and over 100,000 people pass the trade fair days. Rudi Eckart: “It is always worth taking part in the fair. We will be there again in three years.”

Rudi Eckart is happy to have come home from the United States in good time before the entry ban has been imposed. He says: "The most important thing now is that everyone stays healthy."
